Accountability

On the Issues

Why this matters

Too many politicians get elected, disappear to Washington, and only come home to campaign. Voters can't easily see how the money is being spent. They can't easily see how their representative is voting on the things that matter. And they can't easily reach the person who is supposed to be working for them. That's not democracy — that's absence.

Solutions

What Dr. Maxime will do in Congress

Dr. Maxime's whole career has been about accountability. Thirty years as an accountant means he can read a federal budget line by line. Sixteen years as a pastor means he answers to a higher authority than a party leader. He'll bring both to Washington:

01

Publish every vote he takes and the reasoning behind it, in plain language.

02

Publish federal spending affecting District 20 in a way voters can actually read.

04

Refuse contributions that would compromise independence, and disclose everything.

05

Vote based on District 20's interests — not party leadership's script.

03

Hold regular in-district town halls — accessible, unscripted, open to all.
