Students & Opportunity
On the Issues
Why this fight is personal
Dr. Maxime taught Sunday school in Broward County churches for 25 years. He knows District 20's young people — their talent, their dreams, and the walls too many of them run into. Right now, too many students are graduating with debt that dictates the rest of their lives. Too many young workers are locked out of trades they'd thrive in. And too many families are watching their kids leave South Florida because opportunity keeps moving somewhere else.
Solutions
What Dr. Maxime will do in Congress
Every young person in District 20 deserves a real path forward — whether that path runs through a university, a trade, or an apprenticeship. Dr. Maxime will fight to:
01
Expand Pell grants and make community college genuinely affordable.
02
Grow apprenticeship and vocational pathways so a trade is a real career, not a fallback.
04
Protect and strengthen trade schools and technical training programs.
05
Invest in mentorship, internships, and workforce partnerships that keep District 20 talent in District 20.
03
Provide targeted student-debt relief for teachers, nurses, and public-service workers District 20 needs.
