About the event
Dr. Kedner Maxime will join residents, healthcare professionals, educators, first responders, faith leaders, and community organizations for Heroes Together: Creating a Mentally Healthy Community, Deerfield Beach's first annual Community Mental Health and Wellness Seminar.
The free event is being held in recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month and will focus on increasing awareness, reducing stigma, strengthening resilience, and connecting residents and families with mental-health resources available in the community.
Participants will hear from mental-health professionals and community partners about recognizing mental-health concerns, supporting young people and families, healthy coping strategies, first-responder wellness, and how to find local resources.
